As a followup to the previous page I wanted to share some of the things Jim told me about meeting the President. He said he is a very gracious man and the whole time he was in his presence he felt very relaxed. It was funny because while everyone was waiting in the oval office before going to the Rose Garden, many other dignitaries were there and they all seemed a little nervous, so he felt it was no big deal if they were nervous then he was allowed to be nervous too. In the next few pages you can see some of the things Jim received that day. The president in his graciousness signed Jim's speech and that is there. When the President made the speech about the bill he mentions Jim's name 5 different times that is also there. After the signing of the bill the President also gave Jim one of the signing pens. Jim also took quite a few pictures of the President and Secretary of Labor Alexis Herman. One of the pictures of the President is so close, I think the only other person who has gotten that close to the Pres is maybe Monica. But that is another story for another time. We have not received the video tape of Jim yet, but when we do we will let you all know and hopefully get you all a copy. There are other pictures that Jim had taken standing with the President which he has not received yet, but when they arrive I will also put them up.
